            Abstract

The article describes the behaviour of two types of carnivorous plants, Droseras and Utricularias, found in the Sahyadri region. The Droseras, also known as Sundew Plants, have sticky dewdrops on their leaves that trap and digest insects. They exhibit intelligent responses to stimuli and have tentacles that grip the insects like a palm. On the other hand, Utricularias, also known as Bladderworts, have bladders with digestive juices that trap insects. Both plants are considered carnivorous and are referred to as herbal hunters for their insect-catching abilities.
